    Regional Community Bank has a great opportunity for a Credit Analyst ( No Mortgage), focus on Commercial Credit and Underwriting new credits. Accounting or Finance Degree required.


    POSITION SUMMARY:

    Analyzes and prepares financial summaries and credit presentations for use in lending decisions on new loans, loans to be renewed, and loan extensions. Prepares financial spreadsheets and performs ratio analysis for early identification of adverse trends. Prepares loan presentations for appropriate approval and reviews documents for accuracy. Makes recommendations regarding credit limits and terms of loans. Determines loan’s compliance with loan policy including documentation, financial soundness and loan structure guidelines.

    PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

    1. Conducts in-depth review of balance sheet and profit and loss statements presented by applicants for commercial loans or lines of credit. Uses computer spreadsheet software for evaluation.

    2. Performs a comprehensive analysis of borrowers and loan transactions for upfront approval process and ongoing loan reviews.

    3. Reviews and analyzes credit requests to determine financial and non-financial strengths, risk levels and feasibility of proposed credit relationships. This will include assessing liquidity, quality of management, market position and overall business climate to estimate future profitability of business.

    4. Analyze large and complex business and personal loan requests to develop thorough and objective credit presentations while ensuring that the bank’s lending policies are followed.

    5. Determines the repayment ability of borrowers through various cash flow analysis techniques. Determines the collateral position of the Bank.

    6. Submits analysis and makes recommendations to the Senior Vice President and Chief Credit Officer for action by the Loan Committee.

    7. Implements and reinforces policies and procedures to comply with fundamental business and credit priorities of the bank. Assists in monitoring compliance with internal and regulatory requirements.

    8. Provide support to Business Bankers and the Chief Credit Officer with projects as they arise.


    Requirements:
    Minimum Education

    • A four year degree in accounting/finance/economics from an accredited college or university or equivalent work experience
    • Bank related experience
    • Accounting principals, spreadsheet/ balance sheet experience

    Other Skills/Characteristics

    • Strong analytical/synthesis skills
    • Advanced knowledge of loan documentation
    • Experience in working cash flow models
    • Ability to develop/build processes and procedures
    • Excel/Word Spreadsheet experience
