    Job Summary:

    We are seeking an SVP of Infrastructure Engineering to lead and oversee mainframe systems operations. This role involves managing teams responsible for hardware and software lifecycle management across multiple Mainframes running on z/OS systems. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise, strategic vision, and leadership skills to modernize and enhance infrastructure capabilities while driving operational excellence.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Oversee delivery projects across hardware and software lifecycle management.

    Manage teams administering Mainframes using technologies like JCL, DB2, IMS, CICS, source code management, SDLC practices, and security mechanisms (ACF2, RACF, TSS).

    Rethink traditional service models to modernize, enhance, and continuously improve capabilities via innovation and automation.

    Lead cross-functional and collaborative efforts with Data Center Services, Production Services, and Application Development teams.

    Coach, mentor, and manage technical managers to build a highly engaged, skilled, and effective team.

    Shape and implement mainframe strategies, architecture, and design principles.

    Influence stakeholders across client, team, and business unit levels.

    Lead complex technical projects and programs successfully.

    Oversee tooling, utilities, and data transport processes.

    Required Qualifications

    Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline, or equivalent experience; advanced degree preferred.

    Experience: 10+ years in diverse IT roles; prior experience in securities or financial services is a plus.

    Direct experience with mainframe environments and infrastructure, system programming, or application development.

    Ability to lead technical teams, build relationships, and drive strategic outcomes.

    Skilled in communication to lead at multiple organizational levels.

    High learning agility to acquire and apply mainframe technology knowledge effectively.

    Experienced with architecture, design principles, tooling, utilities, and data transport.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    Knowledge in one or more mainframe disciplines.

    ITIL or ITSM expertise, particularly in Release, Change, and CMDB processes.

    Installation knowledge of ISV software and IBM operating systems.

    Knowledge of SMP/E or maintenance routines.

    Familiarity with JCL, system IPL processes, ISPF/TSO.

    Experience in building and maintaining mainframe platforms/frameworks.
