Senior Vice President & General Manager

Own the business. Scale the operation. Help shape the infrastructure behind the AI economy.

This is not a traditional functional leadership role.

We’re looking for a commercially minded, operationally strong Senior Vice President & General Manager to take full ownership of a rapidly growing infrastructure services division supporting data center, telecommunications, and enterprise customers across the U.S. and internationally.

You’ll own the P&L, set the strategy, lead the delivery organization, strengthen executive customer relationships, and build the team and operating model needed to scale profitably.

For the right leader, this is an opportunity to run a business at the center of the data center and AI infrastructure buildout, with direct accountability for growth, margin, operations, people, and long-term direction.

    Why This Opportunity Stands Out

    • Own a full business unit with direct P&L responsibility

    • Lead a rapidly scaling national infrastructure services organization

    • Operate at the intersection of data centers, telecom, AI infrastructure, IT lifecycle services, and critical infrastructure

    • Build and lead a distributed team of field technicians, project managers, engineers, and operations professionals

    • Develop executive relationships with hyperscale, colocation, carrier, and enterprise customers

    • Help expand the business into new service lines, geographies, and recurring-revenue models

    • Influence acquisition, partnership, and integration strategy

    • Serve as part of the executive leadership team and have direct visibility with senior leadership and the Board

    • Play a central role in building the infrastructure supporting high-density compute, GPU environments, advanced power, cooling, and network requirements

    What You’ll Own

This leader will have end-to-end accountability for the division.

    Business & P&L Leadership

You’ll be responsible for the financial and operational performance of the business, including:

    • Revenue growth

    • Gross margin

    • Operating expenses

    • EBITDA contribution

    • Working capital

    • Bookings and backlog

    • Forecast accuracy

    • Workforce utilization

    • Project profitability

    • Capital planning

You’ll establish the annual operating plan, help define the multi-year strategy, and create the operating cadence needed to keep the business disciplined as it scales.

    Growth & Customer Strategy

You’ll work closely with the broader commercial organization while personally owning many of the division’s most important customer relationships.

    You’ll:

    • Drive growth across data center, telecom, and enterprise markets

    • Build relationships with hyperscale, colocation, carrier, and enterprise customers

    • Sponsor strategic pursuits and major customer engagements

    • Expand single-service projects into broader lifecycle relationships

    • Help shape pricing, contract structures, and margin strategy

    • Develop channel and strategic partnership opportunities

    • Identify opportunities to sell integrated power and network infrastructure solutions

    • Strengthen recurring-revenue and long-term managed service offerings

This role requires someone who understands that growth and operational execution are inseparable.

    Operational Leadership

You’ll lead a nationwide delivery organization responsible for complex infrastructure projects in mission-critical environments.

    Your scope will include:

    • Field operations

    • Project management

    • Engineering

    • Structured cabling and network infrastructure

    • Data center deployment

    • IT asset disposition and decommissioning

    • Logistics and asset recovery

    • Managed operations

    • Subcontractor networks

You’ll be expected to create repeatable delivery standards, improve utilization, protect margins, and ensure projects are delivered safely, professionally, and without unnecessary callbacks or rework.

    Service & Technology Strategy

You’ll help determine where the business invests next.

The service portfolio spans the full infrastructure lifecycle, including:

    • Assess and design

    • Build and deploy

    • Operate and maintain

    • Protect and mitigate

    • Migrate and transform

    • Retire and recover

You’ll evaluate new capabilities, service lines, markets, and delivery models while keeping the organization ahead of major infrastructure trends.

    Relevant areas include:

    • Hyperscale and colocation data centers

    • AI and GPU infrastructure

    • High-density rack environments

    • Direct-to-chip liquid cooling

    • 40kW+ per-rack power distribution

    • Structured cabling

    • Fiber infrastructure

    • AC and DC power

    • IT asset disposition

    • Data center migrations

    • Cloud migrations

    • Managed infrastructure services

    • Telecommunications infrastructure

    Build the Team

A major part of this role will be strengthening the organization underneath you.

    You’ll:

    • Build out the senior leadership bench

    • Recruit and retain technical field talent

    • Develop project management and engineering leadership

    • Improve organizational structure as the business grows

    • Establish clear goals and accountability

    • Create incentives tied to business results

    • Develop succession plans and future leaders

    • Build a culture of ownership, integrity, safety, and high-quality execution

The ideal leader enjoys building organizations, not simply inheriting them.

    Experience We’re Looking For

We’re looking for a senior infrastructure executive who understands both the commercial and operational sides of the business.

    Strong candidates will typically bring:

    • 15+ years of experience in technology infrastructure, data centers, telecommunications, or related technical services

    • 5+ years leading a business unit, division, or company with full P&L responsibility

    • Proven experience scaling a services organization through revenue growth, margin improvement, and stronger utilization

    • Leadership experience with a distributed, multi-site field workforce

    • Experience managing subcontractor networks

    • Strong financial and operational discipline

    • Executive-level customer relationship experience

    • Experience negotiating MSAs, SOWs, pricing, and commercial agreements

    • Strong understanding of project-based and recurring-revenue services

    Relevant Technical Background

You do not need to be the person installing the equipment, but you should have enough technical fluency to lead the people who are.

    Relevant experience may include:

    • Data center fit-outs and build-outs

    • Rack and stack

    • Structured cabling

    • Fiber infrastructure

    • AC and DC power distribution

    • Containment systems

    • High-density compute

    • GPU cluster deployment

    • Liquid cooling

    • ITAD and secure decommissioning

    • Asset recovery

    • 24/7 managed operations

    • Remote and smart hands

    • Data center migrations

    • Cloud migration

    • ServiceNow, Jira, or similar ITSM environments

Experience with standards such as BICSI, TELCORDIA, NIST, OSHA, NFPA 70E, and secure chain-of-custody requirements is also valuable.

    Additional Experience That Stands Out

    The following are highly desirable:

    • M&A and post-acquisition integration experience

    • International expansion experience

    • Experience opening new markets or geographies

    • Federal, defense, or regulated customer experience

    • Small or mid-sized business experience

    • Veteran-owned or government contracting environment experience

    • Experience presenting to executive teams or Boards

    • MBA or advanced degree

    Location & Travel

This is a remote/hybrid U.S.-based executive role with significant travel.

    You’ll travel regularly to:

    • Customer sites

    • Project locations

    • Operating facilities

    • Leadership meetings

    • Strategic partner and business development engagements

Candidates should be comfortable operating in a highly distributed environment and staying close to both customers and field operations.

    The Opportunity

This is an opportunity to step into a true general management role where you will have the authority and accountability to build.

You’ll be joining a growing infrastructure organization operating in markets where demand is accelerating and execution matters.

For someone who enjoys owning a P&L, scaling teams, building customer relationships, driving operational discipline, and creating a business rather than simply managing a function, this role offers significant runway and visibility.
