Entry Level Urban Designer

SWA Group, a leader in Landscape Architecture, Planning, and Urban Design, is seeking a full-time talented urban designer to join the firm's dynamic Laguna Beach studio. This is a promising opportunity for a designers who aspires to contribute to and thrive within a studio practice that works both locally and internationally and is empowered by a collaborative and congenial office setting.

Applicant shall have 1–3 years professional experience and knowledge with both domestic and international projects; should be graphically and technically proficient, possess strong interpersonal and time management skills, and have the ability to work independently under the direction and guidance of the Principal. This person will work in a project team environment during all phases of design.

Requirements:

1. An accredited degree in Urban Design with either a Landscape Architecture or Architectural background
2. Strong design skills
3. Attention to detail and organization
4. Proficiency with AutoCAD 2018+, Rhino (Grasshopper), Adobe Creative Cloud, Microsoft Office, Sketch-Up and Lumion. Revit and other advanced rendering platforms helpful
5. Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
6. Effective time management skills
7. Hand sketching skills desirable
