About the position: Landscape Architect/ Designer (3-5 years)

SWA is seeking talented, design oriented candidates with three to five years of professional experience in landscape architecture.  Dual degree holders in landscape architecture and another field are encouraged to apply.  Experience in design, project management, and construction documentation required.

Working with us in this role, you may be responsible for:

• Design
• 3D modeling
• Rendering
• Producing presentation graphics and presentations
• Assisting in preparation of construction drawings/documents, sets
• Attending and participating in meetings
• Work with senior designers on a collaborative team

Job location: Los Angeles, CA

Requirements:

• A professional undergraduate or graduate degree from an accredited program in landscape architecture, architecture, planning, or urban design.

The ideal candidate has:

• 3-5 years professional experience in a landscape architecture office in the US
• Strong design skills
• Project management/project coordination experience
• Demonstrated the ability to produce construction documents and specifications
• Strong problem solving, critical thinking skills, analysis
• Attention to detail and organization
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
• Effective time management skills
• Leadership qualities and ability to take initiative; self-motivation; ability to take direction; positive attitude; sense of accountability
• Ability and willingness to travel
• Demonstrated the ability to successfully work directly with clients and other consultants
• Demonstrated the ability to successfully direct the work of junior staff and train entry level designers
• Technical understanding or landscape architecture site development elements
• Licensure as a landscape architect, planner, or architect, or is in the process of becoming licensed
• Proficiency in:
  • AutoCAD 2014+
  • Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, esp.)
  • Microsoft Office
  • 3D modeling (SketchUp or Rhino)
  • Google Earth Pro
•  Additional experience with the following is desirable:
  • Lumion
  • Revit
  • Grasshopper
  • ArcMap/ ArcGIS
  • Bluebeam Revu
  • Hand sketching
