  • Responsibilities

    SWA is seeking talented, design oriented candidates with three to five plus years of professional experience in landscape architecture. Dual degree holders in landscape architecture and another field are encouraged to apply. Experience in design, project management, and construction documents required.

    Working with us in this role, you may be responsible for:

    · Design

    · Producing presentation graphics and presentations

    · Preparation of construction documents, sets, materials and details, specifications

    · Conducting client meetings and presentations

    · Project management/project coordination

    · Working with junior designers on a collaborative team

    Job location: San Francisco, CA

    Requirements:

    · A professional undergraduate or graduate degree from an accredited program in landscape architecture, architecture, planning, or urban design.

    The ideal candidate has:

    · 3-5 years professional experience in a US landscape architecture office

    · Strong design skills demonstrated by work in site planning and design

    · Project management/project coordination experience (concept design, schematic design, design development, construction documents and specifications)

    · Technical understanding of landscape architecture site development elements; construction detail skills esp. in on-structure and on-grade conditions; demonstrated ability in construction documentation and specifications

    · Strong problem solving, critical thinking skills, analysis

    · Attention to detail and organization

    · Strong communication skills (written and verbal)

    · Effective time management skills

    · Leadership qualities and ability to take initiative; self-motivation; ability to work collaboratively; positive attitude; sense of accountability

    · Ability and willingness to travel

    · Demonstrated the ability to successfully work directly with clients and other consultants

    · Demonstrated the ability to bring in work, clients, projects

    · Demonstrated the ability to successfully direct the work of junior staff and train entry level designers

    · Licensure as a landscape architect

    Proficiency in:

    · AutoCAD 2014+

    · Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, esp.)

    · 3D modeling (SketchUp or Rhino)

    · Microsoft Office

    · Google Earth Pro

    Additional experience with the following is desirable:

    · Lumion

    · Revit

    · Grasshopper

    · ArcMap/ ArcGIS

    · Bluebeam Revu

    · Hand sketching
