  • Responsibilities

    Rothe San Antonio Calibration is a small business in San Antonio, TX. We are currently hiring for a full time Calibration Technician. Military experience is preferred. We are a professional, customer-centric organization and our goal is to serve the industries of San Antonio, Austin, Round Rock, Seguin, and the surrounding areas with Quality Calibration Services.

    Expected hours : 35 – 40 per week

    Duties:

    • Perform calibration and testing of various types of equipment and instruments
    • Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with equipment to ensure accurate calibration
    • Maintain calibration records and documentation in accordance with company procedures
    • Follow established procedures and guidelines for calibration processes
    • Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of tasks
    • Electronic, Physical, Pressure, Temperature, Humidity, and related disciplines

    Qualifications:

    • Minimum of 3 years working as a calibration technician, preferably including Army/Airforce/Navy/Marines Calibration Experience.
    • Current certification by American Society for Quality (ASQ) as Certified Calibration Technician (CCT) or ability to pass CCT certification exam (at company's expense and support) within 9-month time period (information: https://p.widencdn.net/jpxuod/41577-Cert-Factsheet-CCT)
    • Strong knowledge of customer service principles and practices
    • Proficiency in reading and interpreting schematics and technical drawings
    • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with precision
    • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot equipment issues
    • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
    • Experience with a Pratt & Whitney Laser Measuring system or Fluke Met/Team Asset Management/Work Order System is preferred.

    Education:

    • High School Diploma or GED

    Physical Requirements:

    • Be able to lift 25 lbs. We do calibrate weights, and occasionally do heavy equipment but not frequently
    • Ability to stand, crouch, and kneel for extended periods
    • Excellent hand-eye coordination

    Schedule:

    • 5x8
    • 8 hour shift
    • Monday to Friday
    • Weekends as needed

    Occasionally, local travel may be required. The position, dependent on the skills and capabilities, will be involved in on-site calibration services which happen outside of the office at customer sites. That includes very occasional weekend requirements as well.
