SUMMARY:

The CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE calls on past-due accounts according to the Client’s Standard Operating Procedures to bring them into current payment status. Performs all clerical activities associated with servicing the Client’s accounts. Other duties may be assigned.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Persuades delinquent customers to render payment using computer system and various collection software while using professionalism and tact.
• Achieves production goals and standards for servicing delinquent accounts without sacrificing quality of service.
• Follows Client Operating Standards and adheres to the Client customer service standards.
• Accurately and thoroughly notates each account with efforts performed and results attained.
• Processes credit cards and checks by phone as needed.

Required Skills

REQUIREMENTS:

• Completion of a High School diploma or equivalent.
• Six months to one year related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, commissions, interest, and percentages.
• Ability to work with and be proficient with Microsoft Office software and various other office equipment.
• Ability to multi-task and set priorities.
• Ability to effectively use problem solving skills in standardized situations.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram and schedule form.
