SUMMARY: The Marketing Communication Specialist is responsible for working with a North American Team to developing and implementing the regions marketing, social media, branding, and communication activities to effectively communicate and promote the Syntegon’s products and solutions in the Food Packaging industry.

THE BASIC FUNCTIONAL OBJECTIVES INCLUDE:

• Develop high brand awareness of Syntegon Food Packaging solutions in North America
• Develop new communication strategies to promote Syntegon products and facilitate the generation of leads in the North American market
• Monitor and Measure the cost effectiveness of implementing marketing programs

PRIMARY ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• _ _Develop, coordinate and manage marketing communications strategies which promote the organization and its products in the packaging industry including new product launches
• Participate in the planning and tactical execution of the North American marketing plan, manage aspects of communication line items
• Plan and execute advertising campaigns including audience/media selection, and budget management
• Develop and maintain professional relationships with editors of industry publications
• Support maintenance of the company website and provide relevant materials
• Coordinate photographic and audio/ visual activities as needed to produce marketing communication vehicles particularly product/application videos
• Develop and coordinate customer application stories for industry publications and corporate sponsored news letters
• Travel to trade shows, regional sites, customer sites and corporate as needed up to 25% of time which require a valid Driver’s License & Passport

Qualifications

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:

• Must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations or Business Administration
• Must possess a minimum of 3+ years of Marketing experience in a professional work environment

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Excellent interpersonal, and communications skills, both written and oral
• Positive attitude and a strong work ethic
• Project management skills or experience
• Customer-focused
• Excellent organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Demonstrated skills in working effectively in a team environment
• Knowledge in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Packaging industry experience preferred
