    Experience, Skills, and Education Requirements:

    1. Bachelor’s degree in engineering preferred.
    2. Average tenure of at least 2 years over the past 5 years; fewer than 3 employers over the past 5 years.
    3. Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (mainly Excel & Outlook), and advanced computer competence required.
    4. Two years of Industrial Gas industry experience with knowledge of welding processes and gas applications preferred.
    5. Two years of experience in Distribution managing drivers required.
    6. Strong problem solving, critical thinking, coachability, interpersonal, organizational, and verbal/written communications skills.
    7. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

    Summary of Job Responsibilities: The Distribution Manager is responsible for managing the distribution of gas and hardgoods to customers in a safe, efficient, and reliable manner. The Distribution Manager is responsible for managing all Multi-Operators (Drivers) and evaluating each Driver’s performance annually. The Distribution Manager must hold a monthly safety meeting with all Drivers and document the meeting. The Distribution Manager is responsible for resolving issues directly regarding customers’ deliveries. The Distribution Manager must keep all driving-related permits, certifications, and licenses current/up to date (such as DOT, DMV, FMCSA, Texas and New Mexico Permits, Apportioned Tax, Unified Carrier Registration, Fuel Tax, Clearing House, etc.). The Distribution Manager must create, track, and improve the Annual Distribution Expense Budget.

    Overall Job Responsibilities:

    1. Provide leadership and direction for day-to-day distribution operations to meet demands of customers
    2. Ensure all distribution operations are conducted in a safe and reliable manner
    3. Ensures all HAZMAT and DOT required documents are completed and filed in accordance with retention requirements
    4. Responsible for reliability of supply to our customers and locations
    5. Ensure all deliveries of medical gases comply with FDA standards as well as SYOXSA’s quality assurance program
    6. Ensure effective scheduling of the delivery of packaged and cryogenic products in alignment with internal goals, standards, and expectations
    7. Maintain and verify work order summary to ensure all shipments are met in a timely manner
    8. Responsible for Safety training and evaluations, including leading accident investigation and corrective action reports
    9. Assist in planning work assignments in accordance with employee performance, capacity, production schedules, and anticipated delays
    10. Manage personnel on a fair and consistent basis that will help foster an atmosphere where employees are motivated, informed, and empowered to do their jobs
    11. Control costs by evaluating shipments, consolidating loads, and selecting most cost-efficient method of shipment (Route Optimization)
    12. Acts as liaison between customers, freight carriers and shipping department
    13. Other duties as assigned

    Daily Job Responsibilities:

    1. Participate in the MWF Operations Huddle (15-30 minute call, 3 times per week).
    2. Ensure all daily scheduled deliveries are delivered safely, accurately, and on-time.
    3. Ensure that all paperwork (DOT Manifest, HAZMAT Placards, etc.) is on trucks and in compliance.
    4. Route the scheduled deliveries in the most efficient manner utilizing routing software.
    5. Accurately prepare and consistently send Daily Scheduled Delivery Report to Management.
    6. Ensure that all cylinders are being scanned at the load, delivery, and unload points of the sales process, and that the drivers are filling out each delivery ticket accurately with customers’ signatures.
    7. Ensure that all trucks are left locked and parked in designated zones.
    8. Ensure that all Drivers are complying regarding SYOXSA’s Driver Safety & Compliance Bonus Program.

    Weekly Job Responsibilities:

    1. Prepare a list of 5 most important to-do’s/pending items to complete and send it to all team members every Monday morning.
    2. Participate in the SYOXSA Weekly Meeting on Tuesday’s (60-90 minutes) using the Align Software to review and track your goals.
    3. Update the Driver Performance and Distribution Capacity data, present to team and print/post in break room weekly.
    4. Work with Customer Service/Counter Sales on calling customers the week before to plan next week’s deliveries (Route Optimization).
    5. Review and approve all Multi-Operator/Driver timecards and expense reports.
    6. Organize and archive in a shared One Drive Folder all Certificates of Analysis (COAs) for all Gases from all Suppliers.

    Monthly Job Responsibilities:

    1. Review and send to Management Budget results relative to goal and explain significant deviations from goal.
    2. Review all permits, licenses, and taxes that are due and ensure they are paid on time.
    3. Hold Monthly Driver Safety Meeting and document/record each meeting.
    4. Track Vehicle Leasing Schedule and update Monthly, Track maintenance expenses and miles driver per unit and report to team monthly.

    Quarterly Job Responsibilities:

    1. Update Management on Distribution Costs (Fuel, Truck Maintenance, etc.)
    2. Confirm to Management which Multi-Operators/Drivers met requirements for Driver’s Safety & Compliance Bonus Program
    3. Review Budget results relative to goal and explain significant deviations from goal.

    Annual Job Responsibilities:

    1. Create and track Annual Budget for all Distribution G/Ls for the following year due on the first workday of December.
    2. Perform the annual employee reviews of the Multi-Operator/Driver positions.
