We are a Michelin recognized upscale restaurant looking for a motivated Food Runner/Expeditor to join our team! You will contribute to an exceptional dining experience by facilitating communication between the back and front of house while supporting floor staff with tables and service. Your responsibilities also include organizing tickets and running food to tables as well as restocking the pass, cleaning & buffing glassware and silver, clearing tables, removing dirty dishes, setting tables, and servicing items to guests such as water and condiments.
You are great at managing multiple priorities and thrive in a fast-paced environment. With special attention to the details, you care about performing quality work and overall contributing to a friendly and productive team atmosphere.
This is an entry level position for someone just starting in hospitality. Experience is not required. We do offer training as this position has the potential for vast growth in our fledgling hospitality group.
Responsibilities:
Organizing tickets
Communicating fires between servers and kitchen staff
Recognizing when tables are ready for their next course
Wipe and sanitize used tables
Reset tables
Carry freshly prepared items to the guest
Polish silver and glassware
Qualifications:
Previous knowledge of food service regulations preferred
Able to work in a fast-paced environment
Able to lift, carry, or pull objects that may be heavy
Able to stand for extended periods of time
Able to prioritize, organize, and manage multiple tasks
Able to retain and repeat information regarding dishes including ingredients and their sourcing
