    Job Description

    POSITION SUMMARY:

    The Program Evaluator is an integral position to the operations of grant programs focused on planning, developing, improving and delivering health prevention and intervention activities. The Program Evaluator is responsible for completing required evaluation activities for SNAHCs grant-funded projects. The Program Evaluator will be involved with program evaluation including, design, data collection, data processing, management and analysis, and support the Development Team and other Evaluation staff in research/evaluation duties as assigned. The Program Evaluator will develop, implement and maintain a successful strategy to strengthen community participation in program design, evaluation, and policy advocacy. The Program Evaluator is responsible for ensuring SNAHC meets data and evaluation reporting deadlines.

    DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Support project staff in evaluation of grant-funded activities and programs that include data collection, management, analysis, and summary.
    • Ensure that tools and data collection methodologies are effective, responsive to the communitys needs, and culturally appropriate.
    • Support development of overall data and evaluation management structures for SNAHC.
    • Ensure meaningful participation by family, youth and community members in all evaluation processes via design, interpretation, and dissemination of evaluation findings.
    • Conduct need assessments and other agency surveys related to determine unmet needs of patients and community members.
    • Establish, expand, facilitate and sustain initiatives, programs, and/or partnerships that engage key stakeholders and community members (e.g. local tribes, American Indian education programs, community organizations, etc.) in order to address community health and evaluation priorities.
    • Complete required evaluation and programmatic reports in an accurate and timely manner.
    • Participate in Evaluation Advisory Committee and other relevant SNAHC advisory groups.
    • Abide by industry best practices (e.g. proper PPE, ergonomic posture, etc.) to maintain a safe working environment, and reports safety issues or concerns to the supervisor or the Safety Officer immediately. Review the Safety and Health plans, understands, and asks questions regarding safe practices in work areas.

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Masters degree with a minimum of 2 years experience in program evaluation and mixed methods research including data collection, management, analysis, and reporting.

    • Preferred experience evaluating federal and local health or behavioral health grant programs.

    • Preferred experience working with indigenous communities or the American Indian/Alaska Native population.

    • Demonstrated competency in community engagement and collaboration.

    • Demonstrated expertise in conducting needs assessments, surveys, interviews, and focus groups.

    • Respect for and knowledge of traditional, cultural and spiritual practices of a diverse Native American community, as well as ability to work with other racially, culturally, and ethnically diverse populations;

    • Familiarity with statistical analysis software and web-based data collection platforms.

    • Valid California Drivers License with current auto insurance and reliable transportation.

    • Compliance with all state and federal laws and regulations, as they pertain to the position including; HIPAA, sexual harassment, Scope of Practice, OSHA.etc.

    This position is grant funded. Continued employment is contingent upon renewed or additional funding and may be discontinued at the close of the grant cycle. Grant funding for any position does not impart any contractual right, either expressed or implied, to remain in Sacramento Native American Health Center, Inc.s employment for a specific period of time. Grant funding does not affect the Sacramento Native American Health Center, Inc.s status as an at will employer.
