Candidates can expect to gain valuable professional experience! RESPONSIBILITIES: Work 10-15 hours per week in the Sacramento Republic FC Front Office, as well as all home matches. Assist the Communications Manager in the creation of all weekly updates and game notes Draft articles and provide statistical information for clubs matchday program and website Assist in the coordination of player and/or staff community appearances Research and collect club-related news clips Help sort and maintain the clubs photo archive Game day duties as assigned, including press box set-up, recording and transcribing postgame press conferences and assisting with match recaps Print media cards and prepare media credentials for game day, prepare seating chart for media, send parking instructions to media Assist with setting up post-game news conferences and meals for media Other duties as assigned MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Available June August 2018 Current enrollment at a college/university in Business, Communication, Sports Management, or a related field Excellent relationship building and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact comfortably and effectively with internal and external clients at all levels of an organization Extremely coachable and eager to learn every day Highly motivated and ambitious Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required Basic experience using Adobe Suite programs, specifically InDesign Strong writing skills with knowledge of AP Style Strong communication skills and sharp attention to detail Preferable knowledge of soccer Knowledge of Republic FC and the United Soccer League preferred, but not required Prior experience in the sports industry preferred, but not required Applicant will need to provide own computer with Adobe InDesign compatibility.
