    Job Description

     

    SACYR CONSTRUCTION USA IS GROWING AND NEEDS TO ADD TO ITS HR TEAM. WE ARE LOOKING FOR A FULL-TIME PAYROLL SPECIALIST.

    The ideal Payroll Specialist is responsible for administering the activities relating to the company payroll and benefits processing including developing, implementing, and monitoring (e.g., performing internal audits and control procedures to ensure that all wages and taxes are accurate). This individual will be the company’s subject matter expert with all payroll and benefits administration. Must be experienced with ADP Workforce Now, and have worked in the Construction field.

    PAYROLL SPECIALIST ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    · Maintains strict confidentiality on all matters related to the position and the organization.

    · Process multi-state payroll for hourly, salaried and ex-pats; including reviewing and importing hours from the time and attendance system, entering direct deposit information, administrating regulatory requirements, e.g., garnishments, tax levies, and support orders, and other adjustments to payroll as necessary before submitting to the HRD for final approval for transmission.

    · Ensures Certified Payrolls are submitted promptly.

    • Must be experienced with ADP Workforce Now

    • Construction experience a strong plus

    · Enter all new hires and termination in ADP/SAP as per company guidelines.

    · Implement and maintain payroll best practices to improve efficiency and consult with the human resources team and Office Managers to improve the payroll process.

    · Evaluate and implement payroll/SAP systems upgrades and changes.

    · Maintain ADP/SAP system upgrades and changes accordingly

    · Produces scheduled and ad-hoc reports about payroll and human resources as required.

    · Ensure that all reports for the parent company are submitted accurately and timely.

    · Ensure that all year-end process is completed promptly.

    · Ensure Payroll Reports are sent out promptly

    · Prepare reports as required for corporate and headquarters

     

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES REGARDING BENEFITS:

    · Administer all employee benefits programs including enrollments and terminations.

    · Fulfills all governmental regulatory mandates and ensures fillings are performed as required by TPA.

    · Plans and administers annual open enrollment period. This includes preparation (or revision) and distribution of materials, conducting meetings to communicate changes to employees, arranging for on-site presentations by providers, and processing changes with deadlines

    · Plans and conducts audits regularly to ensure all enrollments are accurate and that dependent information is correct for each employee.

    · Works closely with controller for quarterly and year ends audits (payroll, workers Comp., 401K, etc.).

    · Addresses benefit inquiries to ensure timely and accurate resolutions.

    · Reconciles monthly billings from providers to ensure accuracy before submitting to HRD for approval.

    · Resolves discrepancies with carriers and payroll.

    · Ensures proper coordination with TPA (FMLA) administrator to manage disability claims according to plan.

    · Ensures COBRA enrollments/changes are updated in ADP.

    · Ensures compliance with ACA requirements

    · Other duties as assigned and modified at Human Resources Director’s discretion

    QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

    · Bilingual English/Spanish

    · Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred or a minimum of 10 years experience in payroll and benefits

    Must have ADP Workforce Now experience

    Must have experience with high volume payroll

    Must have multi-state payroll experience

    · Proficient knowledge in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint

    · Detail-oriented and proficient with data entry and accuracy

    · Excellent oral and written communication skills

    · Excellent problem solving and analytical skills

    · Exercises strong work ethics

    · Able to work with highly confidential and sensitive matters

    · Excellent interpersonal abilities to work with staff at all levels

    The compensation package for this opportunity will commensurate with the experience.
