The executive recruiting firm of Saenger Associates has been exclusively retained to conduct a confidential search for a Group Plant Manager for a privately held manufacturer of highly engineered branded products and integrated systems. As the global industry leader, the company enjoys a major manufacturing footprint in North America and Asia. Our client enjoys a leadership position in its sector for quality and delivery and is highly profitable and growing.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

This multi-site leader will have direct responsibility for the strategic direction and tactical execution of at least two of the premier assembly operations within the company.One of these facilities is a very large manual and semi-automated operation while the other is a highly automated facility producing millions of finished products daily.

REQUIREMENTS

• 12+ years of experience in global multi-operations supply chain management.
• Hands-on, high energy individual with eagerness to learn and excel, and the capability to engage others in training, development and bringing out their best performance.
• A proven track record of leading step-function improvements in safety, quality, delivery and cost productivity.
• Demonstrated expertise in deploying and leading change through the use of lean principles.
• Experience managing a P&L within a highly matrixed organization structure.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, leadership, and negotiation skills across all levels of the organization.
• Driven self-starter who sets a high bar for self and team to exceed goals and expectations.
• Knowledge of Spanish language and culture a major plus.
• Capable of future career advancement to Director of Operations role.
• BS in engineering or technical discipline required with a MBA a plus

Ideal candidates will be mobile to work from San Diego base operation and two weeks per month in Mexico.

COMPENSATION

Compensation includes very attractive base salary, bonus and full relocation assistance.
