  • Responsibilities

    Position Summary:

    The Warehouse Safety Lead is responsible for implementing and overseeing safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment in the warehouse. This role plays a key part in compliance with OSHA regulations and internal safety standards, conducting regular safety inspections, leading training programs, and promoting a culture of safety among all warehouse personnel.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Enforce and monitor compliance with safety policies and regulations (OSHA, company standards, etc.)

    • Conduct routine safety inspections and risk assessments of warehouse operations and equipment

    • Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses; prepare reports and recommend corrective actions

    • Lead and facilitate safety meetings, toolbox talks, and training sessions for staff

    • Maintain documentation of safety training, incident reports, and inspection checklists

    • Collaborate with warehouse leadership to ensure safety practices are integrated into daily operations

    • Serve as the primary contact during safety audits and inspections

    • Promote continuous improvement in workplace safety through employee engagement and feedback

    Qualifications:

    • High school diploma or GED required; additional safety or OSHA certifications preferred (e.g., OSHA 30)

    • 2+ years of experience in warehouse or industrial safety leadership

    • Knowledge of warehouse equipment, operations, and common hazards

    • Strong communication, observation, and problem-solving skills

    • Ability to lead by example and train diverse teams effectively

    • Proficient in Microsoft Office and safety management systems (SMS)

    Physical Requirements:

    • Ability to stand, walk, and move through a warehouse environment for extended periods

    • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying environmental conditions (heat, cold, noise)
