Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Safety Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will support safety initiatives across assigned regions, conduct data analysis, investigate incidents, partner with leadership on safety compliance, and contribute to the development of training programs. This position requires strong analytical ability, effective communication skills, and the capacity to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, review, research, and analyze new customer requests.
- Request and maintain new customer approvals and manual codes from governing agencies.
- Acquire data from primary or secondary sources and maintain databases/data systems.
- Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques, and produce ongoing reports.
- Provide safety leadership and support within assigned regions.
- Assist field management (Regional VPs, Directors, District Managers, etc.) with safety program administration.
- Investigate safety-related incidents and prepare detailed reports.
- Conduct job safety program audits and inspect job sites for hazards.
- Coordinate with outside agencies including OSHA and local, state, and federal law enforcement.
- Execute special projects as assigned by Workers' Compensation and Safety Managers.
- Assist in developing and implementing safety training programs for associates.
- Ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures in partnership with management.
- Develop strong relationships with regional and national management to monitor and understand loss trends.
- Review incident reports and prepare corrective action plans.
- Ensure timely entry, follow-up, and completion of all safety cases.
- Partner with risk management to develop, implement, and monitor facility safety and OSHA compliance programs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required.
- Minimum 1–3 years of experience in an analytical role.
- Strong ability to retain and apply policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Calm, patient, cooperative, and team-oriented, especially under pressure.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and internet research.
- Strong mathematical and organizational skills, including arranging data alphabetically or numerically.
- Ability to effectively operate job-related equipment and access necessary resources.
- Demonstrated ability to produce results in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Self-motivated with a strong sense of urgency.
