The Safety Assistant (Contract) provides on-site support to the Safety Department for electrical construction projects located at Atlanta Airport. This role assists the Safety Manager in maintaining compliance with OSHA, NFPA, and company safety standards while helping monitor daily operations, documentation, and worker safety practices.

Key Responsibilities

· Assist with the implementation of company safety policies and procedures.

· Help ensure compliance with OSHA and NFPA standards.

· Participate in site walkthroughs to identify hazards.

· Document observations and escalate concerns to the Safety Manager.

· Coordinate safety training sessions for employees and subcontractors.

· Track attendance and maintain accurate training records.

· Support regular inspections of work areas and PPE usage.

· Prepare reports and assist in tracking corrective actions.

· Assist in recording accident and near-miss reports.

· Provide administrative support for investigations.

· Help maintain emergency response procedures and supplies.

· Participate in drills and ensure documentation is updated.

· Monitor and distribute PPE to workers.

· Maintain inventory logs and ensure proper usage.

· Maintain organized safety files, inspection forms, and compliance documents.

· Provide clerical support to the Safety Manager and project team.

Required Qualifications

· Experience in construction or safety support role preferred.

· Familiarity with OSHA regulations.

· OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred.

· CPR/First Aid certification desirable.

· Strong organizational and communication skills.

Contract Details

· Contract-based role with part-time hours expected during project duration.
