Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Industrial Safety Coordinator to join our team in Louisville, KY, 40223. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring a safe and compliant work environment for all employees. You will be responsible for developing and implementing safety programs, conducting training sessions, and promoting a culture of safety throughout our facility. Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
• Facilitate safety training sessions for employees, ensuring they understand safety protocols and emergency procedures.
• Investigate accidents and incidents, documenting findings and implementing preventive measures.
• Collaborate with management to promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
• Maintain accurate records of safety training, incidents, and compliance activities.
• Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes related to workplace safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 1 years of experience in industrial safety or a related role.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety standards.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and safety management software.
• Certification in safety management (e.g., CSP, CIH) is a plus.

Salary info:

$31 - $36 / hr
