Retail Safety Manager

Awesome opportunity to lead the development and execution of safety programs across all retail and corporate operations. This role is responsible for fostering a strong safety culture, ensuring regulatory compliance, and partnering with leadership to reduce risk and protect associates and customers.

The Duties:

• Develop and implement safety programs, policies, and procedures across retail locations

• Ensure compliance with OSHA and all applicable safety regulations

• Conduct audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations; track and analyze trends

• Partner with store leadership to drive safety initiatives and promote accountability

• Lead safety training programs and ongoing associate education

• Support safe operation of equipment and high-risk departments (e.g., Meat/Deli, Produce)

• Collaborate with Facilities and vendors on equipment, maintenance, and safety standards

• Serve as the primary contact for incident reporting, root cause analysis, and corrective actions

The Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Environmental Health, or related field

• 3–5 years of safety experience, preferably in multi-site retail or grocery environments

• OSHA knowledge required; certifications (ASP, CSP, OSHA 30) preferred

• Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills

• Ability to influence teams and work independently in a fast-paced environment
