Summary
We are looking for a Safety Manager to join a rapidly growing Engineering & Specialty Contracting company. This role is responsible for promoting a safe, compliant, and incident-free work environment across active jobsites. The position leads safety program implementation, training, audits, and incident prevention efforts while partnering closely with field teams, subcontractors, and clients to support a strong safety culture and long-term working relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Implement and enforce jobsite safety programs and regulatory compliance
Conduct new hire orientations and deliver ongoing safety training
Perform jobsite audits, identify hazards, and implement corrective actions
Lead incident investigations, root cause analyses, and required reporting
Manage workers’ compensation cases and related documentation
Maintain safety policies, procedures, and training records
Oversee subcontractor safety compliance and high-risk activity planning
Lead toolbox talks, safety stand-downs, and site safety communications
Inspect, maintain, and track safety equipment and inventories
Support drug and alcohol testing when required
Requirements
Associate or bachelor’s degree in safety or related field, or equivalent experience
3+ years of experience in construction safety or OSHA-related roles
Strong knowledge of OSHA standards and jobsite safety practices
Safety certifications (e.g., OSHA 30, First Aid/CPR, GSP/CSP/CHST) preferred
Excellent communication, organization, and documentation skills
Ability to respond effectively to incidents and changing jobsite conditions
Proficiency with standard office and reporting tools
Valid driver’s license and ability to work in construction environments
