    Safety Manager - Industrial Construction - Base Salary to 110k/year - Lemont, IL

    • AllSearch Recruiting is searching for a Safety Manager for our client in Lemont, IL. The Safety Manager will have an in-depth understanding of all current government safety regulations (i.e., OSHA), workers’ compensation, emergency response planning & procedures, first aid, CPR, ergonomics, and industrial hygiene and be responsible for day-to-day safety department support and site visits within a leading civil industrial and maintenance construction organization focused on multi-state industrial, power, chemical and commercial plants.

    Responsibilities:

    • Work closely with the Director of Safety and on-site safety to implement processes and promote strong culture.
    • Ensure full safety compliance with all federal, state, local, and company safety regulations.
    • Conduct daily job-site audits to ensure compliance and set expectations.
    • Maintain and motivate safety on a client project site with 100+ employees.
    • Maintain safety related records for site personnel.
    • Coordinate with other internal departments to manage safety supplies.
    • Ensure all safety binders, permit packets, and policies are kept up to date and readable.
    • Maintain records and maintenance of all gas monitoring equipment on site.
    • Ensure all new hire and annual safety training are completed and documented.
    • Assist with industrial hygiene testing, training, toolbox talks and practical hands-on training.
    • Provide mentorship and support field personnel.
    • Regular and predictable attendance, safely perform tasks, and adherence to all safety policies and procedures are essential functions of the job.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety preferred
    • In-depth understanding of all current government safety regulations (i.e., OSHA), workers’ compensation, emergency response planning & procedures, first aid, CPR, ergonomics, and industrial hygiene
    • Petrochemical/Energy experience/interest preferred
    • Strong organizational skills
    • Ability to work independently and prioritize work
    • Good verbal and written communications skills and math aptitude
    • Comfortable with the Microsoft Office Suite of products.
    • Be a servant-leader with all personnel.

    Compensation:

    • Base salary in the 100k - 110k/year range
    • Comprehensive benefit package
