Safety Manager | Transportation Infrastructure

This position plays a key role in driving safety excellence and ensuring compliance across all field operations. The Safety Professional will operate in a dual capacity, serving as both a consultative advisor and a hands-on leader, dedicated to fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Our ExpectationsHealth and Safety Professionals at ProSafe serve as both consultants and field leaders. The Safety Manager assigned to this project will champion Incident & Injury Free (IIF) culture by promoting proactive engagement, leadership visibility, and accountability in all safety matters. This role requires collaboration with operations management and project teams to ensure that every employee, subcontractor, and partner upholds the highest safety standards on every project site.
Required CertificationsOSHA 30-Hour (Construction or General Industry)
Professional safety designation such as CSP, ASP, CHST, OHST, or CUSP
First Aid / CPR / AED
Valid Driver’s License
Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety & Health or a related discipline (e.g., Human Factors, Construction Management).
5+ years of field safety experience in construction, transportation, or utility environments.
Strong understanding of Federal and OSHA regulations, risk assessment, and field compliance.
Experience with subcontractor oversight, policy audits, and field-level coaching.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and safety documentation systems.
Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills.
Implement and maintain the Contractor Site Safety Plan in alignment with corporate standards.
Provide expert safety coaching, guidance, and technical support to project and operations management.
Conduct on-site audits, hazard assessments, and ensure compliance with OSHA and company standards.
Develop and review subcontractor safety programs to ensure they meet or exceed project requirements.
Assist Talent Management in coordinating and delivering safety training across transportation operations.
Lead incident investigations and facilitate Root Cause Analyses, verifying corrective actions are implemented.
Collaborate with project teams during kick-off meetings to develop safe execution plans.
Participate in monthly Craft Voice in Safety (CVIS) meetings to drive continuous improvement.
Maintain all safety-related records, documentation, and reporting systems.
Support new project startups by implementing ProSafe safety systems and processes.
