Job Description
The Manager, Safety Management System and Quality Control develops, executes and administrates the Safety Management System (SMS) and Quality Control functions. While using discretion and independent judgment, this role holds oversight of the safety reporting process, management, and analysis of safety data for risk identification. In partnership with field operational safety teams, this role operates under only general supervision and uses data to ensure McGee meets its safety KPIs and we lead best-in-class safety outcomes resulting in a thriving safety culture within the organization.

Qualifications
Required:
5 years of experience in aviation, safety, statistical analysis, mathematics, or a related area with at least 3 years in a people leadership role.
Knowledge of FAA Ground Handling SMS requirements, basic data collection points (Ground Incident Reports, Employee Injury Review System, Safety Hazard Reports, Employee Reporting System, etc.).
In depth knowledge of SMS and aviation industry best practices.
Data and Text, Risk, and Statistical Analysis.
Development of common taxonomies for safety analysis.
Ability to use initiative and independent judgment within established procedural guidelines.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
Outstanding verbal and written skills, with the ability to present data and conclusions in an organized, concise manner at all levels throughout the company.
Ability to influence others, work cross-functionally, and contribute positively to a team-oriented, safety-first culture.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
