    $20-$30/DOE

     

    Position Overview:

    The Safety Representative supports the Safety Manager and jobsite supervisory personnel by promoting a safe work environment and ensuring adherence to safety protocols. This is a field-intensive role requiring consistent on-site presence.

     

    Position Requirements:

    Proven experience in the mechanical/plumbing field

    Solid understanding of plumbing systems and jobsite practices

     

    Certifications & Licenses:

    OSHA 30 certification or higher

    Valid driver’s license meeting company standards

     

    Skills & Competencies:

    Strong safety mindset and commitment to safe work practices

    Ability to teach, train, and mentor others effectively

    Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)

    Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)

    Strong sense of integrity and teamwork

    Effective prioritization and problem-solving skills

     

    Work Expectations:

    Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as needed

    Ability to physically navigate construction sites, including elevated areas

    Personal dedication to safety and leading by example

     

    Primary Responsibilities:

    Conduct regular audits to enforce safety protocols and correct unsafe practices

    Assist the Safety Coordinator with implementing the safety program

    Participate in project safety team meetings and safety committee activities

    Deliver or facilitate safety training sessions and maintain documentation

    Inspect materials and equipment to ensure compliance

    Support and document incident investigations

    Organize and lead safety meetings

    Assist in preparing Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs)

    Contribute to identifying and addressing additional safety needs

    Administer and oversee Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures

    Communicate effectively with the Safety Coordinator and on-site teams

    Maintain a dedicated focus on safety without being assigned other jobsite duties

     

    Work Environment:

    Operates primarily on active construction sites, interacting with employees, subcontractors, and various trades

    Requires navigating a variety of site conditions and weather environments

     

    Qualifications:

    High School Diploma or GED equivalent

    Minimum 5 years in construction and/or safety-related roles

    OSHA 30-hour or higher safety certification
