    About the EHS Safety Specialist position

    We are seeking a proactive and highly skilled Safety Specialist to join our team in a manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for communicating with our global headquarters, coordinating long-term safety projects, managing capital investments in safety infrastructure, and ensuring adherence to global safety reporting requirements. This role will also require a strong understanding of machine safety standards, hazard identification and risk assessment, and OSHA compliance regulations.

    As a Safety Specialist, you will play a key role in enhancing our global safety practices, supporting the implementation of safety systems, and ensuring compliance with both local and international regulations. Your focus will be on ensuring the safety and risk management protocols are embedded into our manufacturing processes and operations.

    Safety Specialist responsibilities are:

    • Function as a lead advocate for TP's “Safety Always” culture and to actively support and live safety excellence
    • Execute the company's objectives and strategies related to EHS to ensure full compliance
    • Manage and communicate long-term safety investment projects to GHQ
    • Support and coordinate and complete GHQ safety reports and audits
    • Be the TP EHS liaison to global headquarters
    • Analyse potential hazards in the workplace, equipment, and processes, and evaluating the associated risks
    • Actively support and coordinate all audit activities and lead the remediation of all significant audit findings, adverse events and drive interim and long-term solutions and avoidance
    • Implementing continuous improvement strategies to enhance safety practices and reduce risk.
    • Support the adherence of OSHA machine guarding standards, and ensure programs, and equipment are safe and meet all federal, state and local laws.
    • Drive continuous improvement in accident and incident rates throughout the TP campus and support the development of proactive programs and effective implementation
    • Implement initiatives to reduce the level of work-related accidents and/ or occupational hazards
    • Actively support initiatives to ensure the TP campus is free from hazardous substances which may be chemical, physical or biological in nature
    • Visibly support positive employee perception of the company's personal concern for their well-being
    • Engage in an effective collaborative approach with the manufacturing and maintenance leadership
    • Perform other duties as assigned

    Safety Specialist requirements are:

    Education:

    • (Required) Bachelor's Degree in Safety, Occupation Safety, Safety management, or other similar degree

    Experience:

    • (Required) 2+ years of relevant experience
    • (Preferred) Previous experience in the manufacturing industry

    Language:

    • Good command of written and spoken English
    • Fluent in Korean Language

    Physical Demands:

    • Must be able to frequently move about the manufacturing plant campus, general office environments, production areas, and occasionally ascend/descend stairs
    • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time
    • Must be able to operate a computer and other office productivity machinery
    • Must be able to position self to file documents including the top and bottom drawers of file cabinets
    • Must be able to occasionally move office equipment and supplies weighing up to 25 pounds
