    Job Overview
    We are seeking a dual position role of Safety Specialist and Specification Reader.

    As a Safety Specialist, you would oversee and enhance safety protocols while recognizing and lowering risk in the facility. This role demands a proactive, alert person who can cultivate a safe environment and ensure all processes comply with government regulated safety and quality standards.

    As a Specification Reader you will review Customer specifications for new programs and changes to older specifications then communicate the changes to the corresponding managers to maintain customer compliance.

    The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with the Quality Assurance team to ensure product integrity, and work with the Production team to create a safe environment for all employees.

    Responsibilities

    Specification Reader:

    • Support Engineering, Quality and Operations teams by reviewing customer contracts, and specifications to develop accurate internal documents and processing methods. This role plays a critical part in ensuring compliance with aerospace and environmental standards including AS9100 and Nadcap. Strong attention to detail, technical reading skills, and the ability to interpret complex requirements are essential for success in this position.

    Safety Specialist:

    • Conduct regular safety meetings, audits and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and propose mitigation strategies.
    • Investigate incidents and accidents to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
    • Maintain accurate records of safety-related activities, including training sessions, inspections, and incident reports.
    • Manage Worker's Compensation for injuries and employee incidents.
    • Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure all procedures are accurate, clear, and in use by all employees.
    • Performing air monitoring and noise monitoring.
    • Liaise with regulatory bodies and oversee compliance to ensure all legal requirements are met. Stay updated with changes in legal regulations and implement changes as needed.
    • Assist with workplace safety training, including keeping documentation of training accurate and up to date.

    Education and Experience

    • In-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations and best practices in workplace safety.
    • Proven experience with quality assurance processes and integration with safety management systems.
    • Strong leadership and communication skills.
    • Requires experience in technical reading, blueprint interpretation, and basic knowledge of quality systems. Must possess knowledge required to complete all Imagineering internal paperwork. A two/four-year college degree is preferred, but experience or on-the-job training will be considered in lieu of a degree.

    Preferred Certifications

    • OSHA 30-Hour Training General Industry
    • Basic knowledge in Chemical processing
    • Experience with Aerospace Specifications and related technical documents.
