Summary
Responsible for administering, implementing, and continuously improving the company’s environmental, health, and safety programs to ensure compliance with OSHA and company standards while promoting a culture of safety.
Duties and Responsibilities
Leadership
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Skilled in performing safety inspections ensuring compliance with OSHA safety standards.
Able to communicate technical information to non-technical personnel.
Able to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports.
Able to develop, implement, and enforce safety programs and protocols.
Knowledge of federal, state and local safety regulations, protocols, and/or procedures.
Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
Skilled in developing safety procedures and protocols.
Ability to investigate and analyze information and draw conclusions.
Ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
Qualifications
Education and/or Experience
Associates degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Trained in AED, First-Aid/CPR, OSHA 30, Forklift Trainer Certification, a plus preferred but not required. Prior experience in the Food industry, preferred. preferred but not required
Computer Skills
Working knowledge of computers and intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
Additional Information
The pay range for this role is $24 - $30 (Hourly). Actual wage will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, and candidate skill set and experience. Base pay is just one component of Jack Link’s Total Rewards package for Team Members. Other rewards may include annual incentive and program-specific awards. WORK ENVIRONMENT :
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The work environment is a plant / office setting with varying degrees of temperatures and noise levels. Exposure to manufacturing equipment movement and wet / slippery floors. Travel may be required.
