    Position Summary

    The Safety Technician will support and promote a culture of health and safety on our construction sites. The individual will assist in the implementation, monitoring, and enforcement of safety programs, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company standards. This role reports to the Senior Safety Manager and Safety Manager. Note: This position requires bilingual fluency in English and Spanish to effectively communicate safety policies, conduct trainings, and engage with a diverse workforce.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and unsafe conditions.

    • Assist in the development and implementation of safety policies and site-specific safety plans.

    • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local health and safety regulations (e.g., OSHA).

    • Investigate incidents and near-misses, document findings, and recommend corrective actions.

    • Monitor use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and provide training on proper usage.

    • Maintain safety records, including training logs, inspection reports, and incident reports.

    • Participate in daily toolbox talks and safety meetings.

    • Support safety orientations for new hires and subcontractors.

    • Assist with emergency response planning and drills.

    • Promote a proactive safety culture through engagement and education of site personnel.

    • Deliver safety communications, training, and documentation in both English and Spanish.

    Qualifications

    • High school diploma or GED.

    • Agile, energetic, data-driven approach to achieving individual and organizational objectives while balancing short- and long-term goals.

    • Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with field personnel.

    • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish (verbal and written) is required.

    • Basic computer skills and experience with safety tracking software.

    • Valid driver’s license with the ability to travel to multiple job sites.

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Certification in OSHA 10 or 30 (Construction) required; First Aid/CPR certification a plus.

    • One to three (1–3) years of experience in a construction or industrial safety role.

    • Strong understanding of OSHA regulations and construction safety practices.

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

    • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and documentation skills.

    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
