    Shift: Overlap of 1st & 2nd shift

    Base Pay: $26.00 - $32.00 per hour

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Take ownership/manage All Emergency Response Programs including the First Aid Teams and Fire Marshals on all shifts.
    • Oversee the development and implementation of EHS Training across Harvey Windows & Doors.
    • Train associates on environmental, health & safety requirements to ensure compliance with plant EHS policies as well as applicable Federal and State environmental, health & safety regulations
    • Support, monitor and assist the EHS Manager and Plant team on identifying and controlling safety hazards
    • Support and enforce EHS policies as well as applicable regulatory standards
    • Take a lead role representing EHS in the incident investigation process
    • Keep records of environmental, health & safety-related workplace incidents and propose corrective actions. Interact with Cornerstone EHS Origami software.
    • Identify safety hazards and prepare reports of findings with recommendations for corrective actions utilizing a 5 why process (Horizontal Root Cause Analysis)
    • Coordinate or assist with required annual occupational health exams (ex.: hearing tests) disbursement of PPE including managing the safety footwear and prescription eyewear programs)
    • Investigate and determine root cause of incidents to identify preventative safety measures for incorporation into the safety program
    • Conduct trend analysis, audits, incident investigations and site inspections of operational procedures
    • Perform periodic visual storm water assessments and assist the EHS Manager with reporting and training if facility has a storm water permit and storm water pollution prevention plan
    • Coordinate with responsible facility personnel to consistently maintain adequate safety supplies & equipment including inventory, disbursement, ordering, expiration dates, etc.
    • Render First Aid care to associates as needed
    • Work closely with management and associates in promoting safety awareness and hazard prevention culture.
    • Perform new hire orientation, Walk and Talks and annual safety training.
    • Conduct and update Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) hazard assessments of all Production positions
    • Conduct and evaluate job safety analysis on an annual basis including alternative protective measures including training
    • Plan, coordinate and lead EHS Kaizen events, as needed. (Travel < 10%)
    • Ability to travel and support other CBB locations, as needed.
    • Intervene in unsafe activities or operations by STOP work.
    • Ability to manage several work projects and activities under pressure with the ability to prioritize, as advised by the EHS Manager.
    • Participate in and coordinate Behavior Based Safety observation program
    • Perform other duties as assigned by the EHS Department Manager and Regional Safety Director
    • Leading by example in complying with site EHS rules and other policies
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    Required

    • Safety Degree preferred or other college course and/or safety certifications
    • Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.).
    • Excellent communication and advisory skills.
    • Knowledge of general occupational environmental, health and safety aspects of manufacturing/industrial work settings.
    • Current CPR/AED/First Aid certification or be able to obtain within 6 months of employment.
    • Bi-lingual, fluent in speaking and writing in English & Spanish.

    Preferred

    • Secondary education (some college) is desirable
    • OSHA 10- or 30-hour training
    • Demonstrated experience and knowledge in Environmental, Health and Safety in a manufacturing environment is a plus
    • Competent knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office software (primarily Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Spreadsheets, Formulas)
    • Ability to successfully complete certificate program (OHST, CHST, ASP or other certification) as directed by EHS management

    The US base pay range for this full-time position is $26.50 per hour to $28.50 per hour + medical, dental, vision benefits starting day 1 + 401k and PTO. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
