    SUMMARY

    Promoting a safe and healthy work environment for all employees. Responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring safety programs, conducting risk assessments, investigating incidents, and providing safety training and education.

    REQUIRED COMPETENCIES/ ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

    Must be able to read and write in English.

    Capable of understanding and supporting quality, environmental, occupational health and safety requirements, as applicable to this position.

    Conduct routine safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments on job sites and facilities.

    Assist with accident/incident investigations and prepare detailed reports.

    Maintain and calibrate safety equipment, such as gas monitors and fall protection gear.

    Support the implementation of safety programs, policies, and procedures.

    Conduct toolbox talks, safety briefings, and basic safety training sessions.

    Maintain accurate safety records, including OSHA logs, training documentation, and inspection reports.

    Monitor and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations (e.g., OSHA, EPA).

    Support emergency response efforts, including drills and first aid coordination.

    Recommend improvements to enhance workplace safety and reduce incidents.

    Collaborate with supervisors, employees, and contractors to promote a safe working environment.

    EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, OTHER SKILLS

    High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or technical certification in safety or a related field preferred.

    1–3 years of relevant experience in occupational health and safety or industrial safety.

    Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and general safety practices.

    Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

    Proficiency with Microsoft Office and digital safety reporting tools.

    Ability to work in various environments, including outdoors and in confined spaces.

    First Aid/CPR certification (preferred) but not required.
