Role: USA_ Assembler_ Mechanical IV (Safety Valve Technician)
Location: Pasadena, TX
Pay Rate: $25/hr - $28/hr on W2(inclusive all)
Term: 12-month
Shifts:
- 1st Shift: 7am to 3pm Monday – Friday
- OT and weekends
Job description
As a Safety Valve Assembler, you will assemble complex components per assembly drawings / bill of material. Performs functional testing on assemblies. Tests assemblies per customer and/or division criteria. Operates test equipment in compliance with engineering standards. Applies settings, calibrates and maintains assembly tools. Performs torquing of various components. Distributes quality notifications (qn's).
- Repairing safety relief valves to National Board VR Code
- Testing safety valves with air, water, & steam
- Reading and interpret manufacturers drawings and spring charts
- Understanding of Steam boiler operating and testing
- Applying measurement & math skills to verify critical dimensions
- Performing machine and hand lapping of nozzles and discs
- Performing valve write-up
- Understanding the Pressure and leak test valves to National Board, API, and ASME standards
work environment :
- very fast paced and noisy, long-Standing Hours
- The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 20 lbs, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications :
- High School Diploma or equivalent. 1+ years related experience
- 1+ Years experience with the Assembly of Safety Valves is preferred
- Experience working with Dial Calipers
- Experience working with Micrometers
- Experience working with Consolidated products a plus)
Nice to have:
- Reading and interpretation of assembly manuals
- Good communicator
- Attention detail
- SAP familiarity(ERP systems)
