    SafetyCall International (SCI) is seeking a part time Registered Nurse to join our team as a remote HEALTH INFORMATION ESCALATION SPECIALIST! 

    JOB DESCRIPTION:

    The Health Information Escalation Specialist (HIES) is responsible for managing and documenting adverse events, lack of efficacy cases and product safety/product use inquiries via telephone and email reported by consumers and health care professionals related to various dietary supplements, over the counter and prescription drugs, and other consumer products. The HIES documents cases received via phone and email into SafetyCall’s (SCI) electronic databases to facilitate adverse event reporting to regulatory organizations such as the EPA and FDA on behalf of our clients. This position may also follow-up on reported cases via phone and/or email to ensure the well-being of the consumer and gather additional information regarding cases such as recovery/health status or additional product information. The HIES will act as a resource for other staff on matters pertaining to call management and is expected to lead by the mission, vision, values, and principles of SCI to support and advance the company.

    SCHEDULE: 

    • Part time, scheduled 20 hours per week
    • Will work Monday through Friday, no weekends or holidays
    • Shifts are 4 hours long, scheduled sometime between 11:00am and 4:00pm CST. Schedules are provided with 4-6 weeks in advance
    • Must be able to commit to training as detailed below

    TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:  It is preferred that all employees complete a 4-week, full time, paid, remote training process up front. Training schedules are determined in advance and are most often Monday through Friday daytime hours, but can include some varying days/times.  After training is complete the shift you are hired for will begin.  If you are unable to commit to full time training, part time options can be considered and will be discussed further in the interview process.


    QUALIFICATIONS:

    1. Current Registered Nurse (RN) in good standing.
    2. Experience working on a nurse help line, drug safety call center, Contract Research Organization (CRO) or other related scientific area focused on capturing human health data in a software database is preferred, but not required. 
    3. Knowledge and experience using computer programs, particularly patient management software or and pharmacovigilance software is preferred, but not required
    4. Maintain confidentiality of clients’ products, procedures, and case detail as well as SCI’s operating procedures.
    5. Ability to manage multiple and varied tasks and prioritize workload with strong attention to detail.
    6. Ability to work effectively independently and in a team environment to meet deadlines.
    7. Verbal and written communication that is clear, concise, accurate, professional, empathetic, persuasive, and compassionate on a regular basis, including during stressful or high-pressure situations and interactions.
    8. Ability to gather, analyze, and synthesize complex or diverse information.
    9. Ability to exhibit sound and accurate judgment and make timely and accurate decisions.
    10. Ability to prioritize and plan work activities to complete all assigned projects in a timely manner and meet deadlines.
    11. This position requires initiative, self-motivation, resourcefulness, and the ability to work with little direction.
    12. Strong attention to detail and spelling with the ability to accurately enter data with very few data entry errors.
    13. Can quickly adapt to changes in workflow, policies and procedures and encourages others to do so.
    14. Above average proficiency with keyboarding, navigating PCs, navigating the internet and using common computer software and hardware.

    REMOTE AGENT REQUIREMENTS: Employees must also have a space that allows them to work without other interruptions, and they may not have any other responsibilities during the time they are working such as caring for dependents.


    PAY & BENEFITS: The starting pay is between $30-$33/hour.  Pay varies based on the individual where we look at several factors including education, experience, and credentials.  Pay will be discussed on an individual basis in the interview process.  We also have many fantastic benefits for part time team members including 401K with match, CE & license reimbursement, pet insurance, and more!
