    Job Description

    For over two decades, Sagacent Technologies has served leading small and mid-sized clients in the South Bay by providing award-winning outsourced IT and cybersecurity to support and protect our clients.     We are now seeking extraordinary individuals to join our technical services team. The ideal candidate should be strong in one or more areas:

    • If you have experience supporting largely desktops, laptops, Windows, Office apps and doing helpdesk support, you could qualify for an L1 or Desktop Engineer position.
    • If you have the above and additional strong experience with routers, switches, firewalls, and backup solutions, you could qualify for an L2 or Network Engineer role.
    • And if you have all of the above and robust experience with servers, virtual machines, clusters, WAN solutions, monitoring, and security management, you could qualify for an L3 or Systems Engineer position.

    Responsibilities:

    • Troubleshoot client environments
    • Improve technical operations for clients
    • Support our client’s employees
    • Document/update our support service processes and procedures with a clear goal of the industry's best practices.
    • Work well both in a team environment and as a motivated individual
    • Duties shall be performed both in-office (remote to client) and on location at local client offices
    • Your own transportation is required

    Minimum Required Experience (All):

    • 3-5 years' practical support and troubleshooting of networked environments working with desktops, laptops, networks, and servers
    • Strong expertise in Windows 10, 8 and 7
    • Solid skills with Microsoft Office 365, including Office 2016, 2013 and 2010
    • Robust strengths in software installation/removal, data backups/restores, antivirus/firewalls/security, Internet/networking/wireless connectivity, Active Directory, remote access, UPS's, print servers, printer maintenance, and repair

    Bonus Experience To Make You Stand Out (Any of):

    • ConnectWise Manage
    • SonicWall firewalls
    • Datto BCDRs
    • StorageCraft backups
    • Veeam backups

    Experience Required for Advanced & Senior Positions (Any of):

    • Any MSP industry-specific applications.
    • Azure Server
    • Exchange Server 2016 through 2010.
    • Windows Server 2019 thru 2008
    • Windows SharePoint or Windows SharePoint Server
    • Windows SQL Server
    • VoIP Solutions
    • Hyper-V or VMware Virtual Servers
    • NAS and SAN Solutions
    • Advanced Security Solutions
    • Network or Security Audits
    • Apple/Mac, Linux, or UNIX

    Valued Certifications (Any of):

    • Microsoft certifications
    • SonicWall certifications
    • Datto certifications
    • SonicWall certifications
    • CompTIA's A+, Network+ or Security+ certifications
    • VMware certifications
    • Cisco CCNA/CCNP certification
    • Any 3rd Party certifications including HP, Dell, Lenovo, IBM, etc.
