Sage Recruiting is looking for a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to join the Canadian division of a Venture-backed healthtech startup founded in California. Our client is a tech enabled healthcare startup using data science and software tools to innovate the healthcare industry. The entire company is 100% Remote so we’re comfortable with anyone in Canada working PST or EST time zones.
We’re looking for 2 Senior Software Engineers to join this fast-growing team. You will be reporting directly to the CTO working a small team that will triple in size this year. If you are a collaborative team player interested in a healthcare industry environment, this could be a great fit!
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
- Develop web based software to support exceptional remote and personal patient care.
- Write reusable, efficient, readable, testable code
- Design and implement functional requirements
- Build efficient backend features and API integrations using Python/Django
- Collaborate with in-house Clinical team and Data Science team to create optimal tools for the application
- Integrate frontend components to the app using React/Redux
- Ensure proper documentation, testing and bug fixes
- Enhance the engineering team’s scalability by building reusable library and code
- Sustain business efficiencies by incorporating various clinical and non-clinical systems
- Build and manage CI/CD pipelines and cloud services using GCP
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- You have a minimum 3 years’ experience writing application code in a professional capacity for intermediate roles (ideally 6-10 for Senior roles)
- Software development best practices and testing are second nature and you’re well-versed in popular design patterns
- You have experience building features end-to-end and APIs ground up
- You’ve got solid experience with front-end, back-end and infrastructure technologies
- You have at least a year of professional experience using React/Redux
- You have extensive knowledge of Python/Django, Postgres (or similar) and cloud technologies
- Past experience working independently with minimal supervision is a must, but we also need extremely collaborative and communicative people.
- Nice to have: a background in ETL, data pipelines and Cloud DevOps
- Nice to have: experience in the healthcare industry and handling side projects
- Nice to have: experience at a startup or well-known enterprise
