    Job Description

    Sailormen, Inc. is a large Quick Service Restaurant franchise company operating Popeyes restaurants in the Florida and Georgia markets. Can you work with a collaborative team environment to provide financial solutions in an effective manner? Are you able to think outside of the box, and take pride in getting the job done right the first time? Then we are looking to hire you.

    The Restaurant/Operations Financial Analyst will work directly with the CFO and provide leadership, analytical support, and guidance on key business decisions, finance issues, and projects to all areas of the business with an emphasis on sales, profit analysis and new store development.

    RESTAURANT/OPERATIONS FINANCIAL ANALYST EXPECTATIONS INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

    • Developing financial models, diagnostic tools, or even new analytical methods to identify trends, interpret results, and optimize profit – both at the restaurant and corporate level.
    • Coordinating with all levels of leadership, and various departments to assess needs for financial information, and develops reports, analyses, and tools to meet those needs.
    • Monitoring variances to plan throughout the year, forecasting results, and presenting findings to appropriate parties.
    • Presenting project results, recommendations, and solutions to all levels of leadership.
    • Continuously looking for and identifying opportunities in the business and presenting recommendations to leadership.
    • Utilizing multiple sources of data to extract, analyze, and report on various items including Sales, ROI on a project, restaurant performance on certain key measures, and G&A spend; presenting findings, and making their own recommendations on next steps.
    • Working alongside CFO in preparing presentation for quarterly and annual Board of Director meetings.
    • Helping refine Operational KPIs and work alongside above restaurant leaders to help analyze and improve business performance.
    • Work with the Directors of Operations, Regional Managers, and District Managers to focus energy on the restaurants and operational areas with the greatest opportunity

    SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:

    • Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and interpersonal).
    • Highly proficient with Microsoft applications (Excel and PowerPoint).
    • Ability to effectively organize and manage priorities and projects in a fast-paced environment.
    • Ability to extract and analyze raw data, draw conclusions, and make actionable recommendations.
    • Ability to perform ROI, profitability, and variance analyses.
    • Working knowledge and experience in planning, forecasting, and budgeting.
    • Skill at presenting financial data to various levels of leadership.
    • Ability to manage financial data in a confidential and professional manner.
    • Self-Starter

    QUALIFICATIONS/ EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

    • B.A./B.S. in Finance.
    • Minimum of 2 years relevant finance experience.
    • Excellent analytical, quantitative, written, and verbal communication skills.
