    Position Summary: Saint Gobain Performance Plastics is currently seeking an intern to work with their Operations and Supply Chain Team at the Taunton, MA site. May - August, Full Time, flexible dates

    Responsibilities:

    • Perform data collection, spreadsheet creation, and data analysis to include information details of part numbers which include but are not limited to coil weight, product bag & corrugated size.
    • Work with the production team to ensure the bag size and corrugated size is accurate.
    • Gather information and create a workbook to have bag size and product box size added to the B.O.M.
    • Perform data collection, spreadsheet creation, and data analysis to create a Taunton shipping weights/dimensions workbook & chart.
    • Work with shipping/packaging to ensure the correct corrugated size, quantity of pizza boxes/pallet and weights are on the new workbook.
    • Create a PowerPoint training guide or an OPL for shipping to ensure that they understand the workbook and package to the dimensions & weights formula.
    • Perform data collection, spreadsheet creation, and data analysis, to include but is not limited to item master fields such as order quantity, product line, allocation type, etc.
    • Assist/Support Supply Chain department on daily basis.
    • Attend daily meetings and assist Supply Chain with reporting of departmental objectives.
    • Perform other duties as directed by management.

    Qualifications & Skills:

    • The position requires that the candidate be at least two years into an accredited Industrial\Operations Engineering\Management or Supply Chain\Business program
    • Strong problem solving skills
    • Ability to work with large amount of data for statistical analysis
    • Familiarity with MRP systems will be added benefit
    • Ability to self-motivate and work productively both with and without supervision
    • Strong analytical, organization, and communication (written and verbal) skills
    • Strong Excel skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
