    Job Description

     The Cash Management Business Banking Officer (CMBBO) generates low cost deposits by systematically soliciting prospective and existing bank clients through sustained calling efforts.  The primary responsibility of this position is to function as the central contact point to prospects and clients, executing relationship strategy and assist the client in achieving their business objectives.  The CMBBO will primarily focus on new client acquisition and may have the opportunity to assume relationship management responsibility where they are expected to retain and expand high-value relationships.  Additionally, the banker must have Cash Management acumen, team successfully with operations and compliance partners and serve as the first line of defense in identifying and managing risk. The CMBBO role is focused on delivery of knowledgeable advice and solutions, creating strong client relationships, and optimizing revenue opportunities for the Cash Management Banking team and the Bank.

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

    • CMBBO will identify, plan, and execute quality clients and prospect calls
    •  Leverage external COI’s to drive new client acquisition
    • Involves internal business partners to develop appropriate structure to earn the client’s full banking relationship  
    • Develop a list of targeted industry prospects and implement relationship strategies resulting in new client acquisition
    • Achieve referral benchmarks for all other lines of business including Commercial Lending and SBA partners
    • Align outbound activity with preplanned calls to leverage new business opportunities    
    • Achieve quarterly and annual production and performance thresholds that contribute to team goals and bank’s strategic initiatives 
    • Involvement in community and networking opportunities, representing the bank professionally and responsibly while developing valuable relationships with community leaders
    • Ability to participate with key business partners in team-based portfolio development / expertise
    • Manage relationship processes from initial engagement through final close, including structure, pricing, internal approval / compliance processes and documentation
    • Commit to providing exceptional service for all bank prospects and clients
    • Presents new and renewing credits to the bank’s Loan Committee requiring higher level approval
    • Serves as a resource on commercial activities within the community
    • Adheres to all department and company policies and procedures and follows applicable banking regulations
    • Performs additional job-related duties as assigned or required including Cash Management services

    QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, AND SKILLS

    • 5-10 years of relevant experience
    • Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred 
    • High level of interpersonal, communication and organization skills to successfully function is required
    • Consultative sales and marketing skills
    • Effective oral and written communication skills
    • Banking law and compliance training

    WORK ENVIRONMENT

    • General office conditions
    • Must be able to work effectively at a computer for extended periods of time
    • Must be able to sit for extended periods of time
    • Regular attendance is necessary
    • Frequent local travel
