    Maven Genetics is looking for enthusiastic, customer-focused Sales Associates to join our retail team in Tarzana.     As a Sales Associate, you'll create memorable customer experiences by providing personalized product recommendations, educating customers about our premium products, and ensuring every guest feels welcomed from check-in through checkout. This position also offers opportunities for cross-training and career growth within our organization.

    What You'll Do

    • Welcome and engage every customer throughout their shopping experience.
    • Provide exceptional customer service while building lasting customer relationships.
    • Consult with customers to understand their needs and recommend products, including Maven's premium house brands and third-party products.
    • Educate customers on cannabis products, consumption methods, and current promotions.
    • Meet or exceed individual and team sales goals.
    • Process customer purchases accurately using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
    • Handle cash transactions responsibly while maintaining accurate cash management.
    • Restock merchandise and maintain organized displays throughout the sales floor and stockroom.
    • Help maintain a clean, organized, and inviting retail environment.
    • Address customer questions and concerns professionally, escalating issues to management when appropriate.
    • Share customer feedback and operational insights with the management team to improve the customer experience.
    • Follow all company policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
    • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Store Supervisor or Retail Manager.

    What We're Looking For

    • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
    • Previous retail or customer service experience preferred.
    • Cannabis industry knowledge is a plus.
    • Excellent communication and active listening skills.
    • Strong customer service and sales abilities.
    • Comfortable making personalized product recommendations.
    • Cash handling experience with strong attention to detail.
    • Ability to learn and operate POS systems efficiently.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
    • Positive attitude, reliability, and a collaborative team mindset.

    Requirements

    • Must be at least 21 years of age.
    • Must be available to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and occasional on-call shifts.
    • Reliable transportation required.
    • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
    • Ability to bend, kneel, crouch, and perform repetitive movements as needed.
    • Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds occasionally.
    • Manual dexterity sufficient to operate retail equipment and POS systems.
