About the Role
You'll be the face of Joyleaf — the person guiding customers through their visit, answering questions with warmth and care, and helping each guest leave with the product that fits their life. This isn't just retail. It's part educator, part guide, part host. No two days look the same, and no two customers do either.
You'll report to the General Manager and take day-to-day directions from the Shift Lead or Supervisor on duty.

What We're Looking For
You'll do well here if you:
You'll also need to:
Cannabis experience? Nice to have, not required. We train you on everything you need to know about our products and the Joyleaf Way.
You'll Thrive Here If…
Our four values — empowerment, empathy & compassion, joyful experiences and excellence— aren't posters on the wall. They're how we hire, how we coach, and how we treat each other and every guest who walks through the door. If those words describe how you already move through the world, you'll feel at home here.
How We Hire
In 2025, Joyleaf was named Best Dispensary in New Jersey at the NECANN Cup — judged through a third-party secret-shopper program scoring customer experience, staff knowledge, and community impact across 220+ licensed dispensaries. That recognition belongs to our team, and we take it as a charge to keep hiring people who are values-aligned, high-performing, and ready to deliver the experience our guests have come to expect.
If we decide to move forward with your application, here's what to expect:

The physical part
You'll be on your feet for most of your shift, moving between the sales floor and the back of house. You'll regularly lift and carry boxes up to 10 lbs, and occasionally up to 30 lbs. You'll spend time at a computer and at the register, and you'll be in active conversation with guests and teammates throughout the day.
Equal opportunity
Joyleaf is an Equal Opportunity Employer. We're committed to building a team that reflects the community we serve, and a workplace where everyone belongs — regardless of disability, sex, race, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, national origin, age, or veteran status. If you need a reasonable accommodation to apply, interview, or perform the role, please contact us directly.
