JOB SUMMARY: The sales associate position is responsible for maintaining customer service, generating sales, housekeeping, merchandising, signing, pricing, cash register operations (POS) and loss prevention in adherence to all company policy/store standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPOSIBILITIES:
Ensure each customer receives outstanding customer service by providing a customer friendly environment, including greeting and acknowledging every customer, maintaining outstanding standards, solid product knowledge and all other components of customer service.
Maintain an awareness of all product information, merchandise promotions, test merchandise, advertisements and donations.
Assist in floor moves, merchandising, display maintenance and store housekeeping.
Adhere to all company policies, procedures and practices, including signing, pricing, and loss prevention.
Accurately and efficiently complete all sales transactions and maintain proper cash and POS registers.
Assist in processing and replenishing merchandise; participate in receiving and monitoring floor stock; and ensure merchandise is placed in the correct department.
Regulates dressing rooms for loss prevention and customer service.
Communicate customer requests to management.
Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Education: High School diploma/GED preferred
Experience: 1-3 years of retail/customer service preferred
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
Ability to work, stand and walk for 2 hours at a time.
Occasionally required to reach with hands and arms.
Occasionally required to bend, lift or climb.
Occasionally required to lift light up to 25 pounds.
