The Hotel Sales and Catering Manager is responsible for driving group and catering business to the hotel through proactive sales efforts, strategic planning, and exceptional client service. This dual-role leader acts as both a revenue generator and client experience specialist—handling everything from prospecting and proposals to planning and execution of events. Responsibilities: Key Responsibilities: Sales Duties: • Proactively identify, qualify, and solicit new group business (corporate, social, SMERF, government, etc.). • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to meet or exceed revenue goals. • Conduct site tours and maintain strong relationships with meeting planners, travel agents, corporate clients, and local businesses. • Negotiate rates and contracts within brand and revenue management guidelines. • Maintain accurate records of all sales activities in CRM systems (like Delphi, Opera, STS, or CI/TY). Catering/Event Management Duties: • Manage all aspects of banquet/catering events—from initial inquiry through post-event follow-up. • Collaborate with the kitchen and banquet team to ensure seamless execution of events. • Coordinate event logistics such as room layout, F&B selections, AV needs, and timing. • Create detailed Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and ensure all departments are aligned. • Serve as the on-site point of contact during major events, ensuring client satisfaction. Qualifications: Ideal Skills & Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience). • 2–5 years of experience in hotel sales and/or catering. • Strong organizational, communication, and negotiation skills. • Ability to multitask under pressure and adapt to changing priorities. • Experience with hotel systems (PMS/CRM/Catering platforms). Compensation: $75,000
