Responsibilities: • Set our sales strategies and sales objectives to achieve our sales goals • Identify new sales opportunities, emerging markets, and lead generation programs to keep us growing • Counsel your sales team members, evaluate their performance, and offer suggestions for improvement • Create sales reports and present to the team that outline sales efforts including progress and sales volume to better determine future goals • Build and foster strong customer relationships and handle complaints to ensure their needs are met and keep their business Key Responsibilities: Sales Duties: • Proactively identify, qualify, and solicit new group business (corporate, social, SMERF, government, etc.). • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to meet or exceed revenue goals. • Conduct site tours and maintain strong relationships with meeting planners, travel agents, corporate clients, and local businesses. • Negotiate rates and contracts within brand and revenue management guidelines. • Maintain accurate records of all sales activities in CRM systems (like Delphi, Opera, STS, or CI/TY). Catering/Event Management Duties: • Manage all aspects of banquet/catering events—from initial inquiry through post-event follow-up. • Collaborate with the kitchen and banquet team to ensure seamless execution of events. • Coordinate event logistics such as room layout, F&B selections, AV needs, and timing. • Create detailed Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and ensure all departments are aligned. • Serve as the on-site point of contact during major events, ensuring client satisfaction. Qualifications: • Exemplary communication skills, leadership skills, and analytical skills • At least 3 years of experience in sales management or in a leadership role in the sales department • Proven track record of sales success • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field Ideal Skills & Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience). • 2–5 years of experience in hotel sales and/or catering. • Strong organizational, communication, and negotiation skills. • Ability to multitask under pressure and adapt to changing priorities. • Experience with hotel systems (PMS/CRM/Catering platforms). • Familiarity with brand standards is part of a franchise or major chain (Hilton, Marriott, IHG, etc.). Compensation: $75,000
