Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Sales Consultant to join our growing Business Development team. This role will focus on driving revenue through full-service consulting engagements, with an emphasis on primary market research, analytics solutions and strategic advisory for pharmaceutical and life science clients.
The Sales Consultant will be responsible for prospecting, developing, and expanding client relationships, while working closely with internal consulting teams to deliver high-impact engagements across Michael Allen Company’s service lines. This includes acting as a liaison between clients, business development, and consulting teams to identify needs, shape solutions, and support successful delivery.
- Directly drive revenue growth through new business development and expansion within existing accounts
- Proactively prospect and engage pharmaceutical and life science clients to identify new opportunities across consulting, analytics, and primary market research services
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, serving as a trusted advisor on commercial strategy and market insight needs
- Develop tailored proposals, statements of work, and go-to-market approaches aligned with client objectives
- Partner with internal consulting teams to scope, position, and deliver high-quality engagements
- Provide superior customer service by coordinating with Project Managers and Managing Consultants to ensure successful execution and client satisfaction
- Lead and participate in client meetings to understand evolving business needs and position appropriate solutions across MAC capabilities
- Analyze and synthesize client and market insights to inform business development strategy and engagement opportunities
- The ideal candidate is highly organized, intellectually curious, and experienced in both business development primary market research and/ or data analytics within the life sciences industry, with strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
