    Methods Machine Tools was established in 1958 with three employees and a handful of refurbished machines. Since then, the company has become one of the largest privately owned machine tool importers in North America.

    Methods designs and implements custom machining setups, including machine tool selection, automation integration, and turnkey automation cells. The corporate campus in Sudbury, Mass., comprises a showroom/technical center, which contains automation, applications, and a full range of cutting-edge machines. Methods has more than 300 employees, seven technology centers, one high precision machining center, and has installed more than 45,000 machines throughout North America.

    Job Summary:

    The Sales Coordinator is responsible for supporting the sales team, processing and managing the machine orders lifecycle for the Southeast region, streamline communication between multiple departments
    to ensure accurate order specifications, coordinating resources to achieve optimal results, and handle client communication regarding logistics when needed.

     

    Duties/Responsibilities:

    • Sales order review and processing.
    • Review all incoming sales quotes for accuracy, completeness, and coordinate order review for each machine order.
    • Enter and process machine orders from Salesforce to CSI system, ensuring proper documentation and coding.
    • Facilitate coordination between the production and sales team, ensuring accurate communication regarding product specifications, delivery timing and stock machine planning.
    • Upload all documentation into the order hub system.
    • Coordinate with production planning to align all items listed on the order and update as needed.
    • Processes change orders and revisions as needed.
    • Assist sales, logistics administration and other teams to resolve order related issues.
    • Ensure accuracy and consistency of administrative data supporting the sales process and update internal sales reports daily.
    • Assist logistics team with information on customer offload capability, rigger info, transfer request, etc.
    • Other duties as assigned by management.

     

     

    Required Skill/Abilities:

    • Experience or familiarity in the CNC machine tool industry
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment/ sense of urgency
    • Strong organizational skills.
    • Professional verbal and written communication skills.
    • Ability to manage logistics coordination when needed (from CLT).
    • Must be able to work effectively and independently with minimal supervision.
    • Must have excellent time management skills.
    • Able to effectively work with all levels of team members and all types of customer personalities.

     

    Minimum Education/Experience:

    • Bachelors or Associates Degree in Sales or Business plus 2 to 4 years related experience and/or training.
    • At least 2 years’ experience in the manufacturing industry, preferred.
    • Prior experience with Salesforce.

    Supervisory Responsibilities:

    • None.

     

    Travel Requirements:

    • Approximately 10% of time

      Physical Requirements:

    • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
    • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
    • Travel to corporate office may be required on occasion.
