We are seeking a motivated Sales Development Intern to support our sales and recruiting efforts within the residential clean energy division. This internship provides hands-on experience in outbound communication, candidate and customer screening, and early-stage sales development within a growing renewable energy company.
The intern will work closely with the sales and management team, gaining exposure to how leads are qualified, how pipelines are built, and how sales teams operate in a real-world business environment.
Responsibilities
Make outbound calls to prospective candidates or customers
Ask screening and qualifying questions to assess interest and fit
Provide a brief overview of the company and role or service
Schedule interviews or follow-up appointments for qualified individuals
Send follow-up emails or messages to contacts who did not answer
Accurately document call outcomes, notes, and scheduling details
Support the sales pipeline through consistent outreach and organization
Represent the company professionally in all communications
Qualifications
Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a college or university
Strong verbal communication and listening skills
Comfortable speaking on the phone and interacting with new people
Organized, reliable, and detail-oriented
Willingness to learn sales, communication, and professional workplace skills
Positive attitude and strong work ethic
Preferred (Not Required)
Interest in sales, business development, marketing, or renewable energy
Experience in customer service, outreach, or call-based roles
Familiarity with basic scheduling tools or CRM systems
