    Your Role and Responsibilities

    IBM is seeking to hire a Sales Development Representative (SDR) who is responsible for developing new Business to Business opportunities, as well as collaborating with Marketing for ongoing lead nurturing and campaign optimization. The SDR will leverage social tools to convert marketing leads into validated sales opportunities and then engage Digital Sales, Field Sales, and Business Partner reps to progress and close business.


    • Leveraging a variety of mediums and approaches to prospect into new logo and existing client accounts

    • Meet and/or exceed monthly and quarterly quota objectives

    • Enhance sales performance through expanded use of digital and social processes and capabilities

    • Researching assigned accounts to identify decision makers and influencers, understand customer feedback, and tailor campaign materials to generate interest in IBM AI Apps offerings

    • Demonstrate operational excellence through the disciplined management of key performance indicators, streamlining of inside sales processes and optimized resource deployment to improve pipeline yields and drive seller productivity

    • Meeting virtually with potential buyers to assess needs and qualify leads

    • Initiating lead pass to sales or channel teams

    • Maintaining up-to-date offering knowledge


    • Business to Business Sales Experience

    • Multitasking; Manage sales responsibilities and administrative tasks

    Required Technical and Professional Expertise

    • 2+ years of B2B sales experience

    • 2+ years of experience using digital selling/social media such as Blogs, Forums, LinkedIn, LinkedIn Navigator, SalesLoft, Twitter, etc.

    • Ability to learn and apply product knowledge in a timely fashion

    • Proven track record of success in sales role, particularly in sales development or opportunity identification

    • Manage multiple priorities while working within guidelines

    • Exceptional communication and presentation skills with the ability to adapt your messaging and content to various audiences

    Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

    • Knowledge of the IBM Automation Portfolio

    • Knowledge of Salesforce, SalesLoft, and LinkedIn Sales Navigator

    • Experience selling to C-Suite

    • 1+ years of Marketing experience

    • 3+ years of relevant IT sales
