Sales Director – Wind Energy SaaS & Analytics

The Talent Mine is partnering with a leading renewable energy technology provider to identify a Sales Director to drive sustainable revenue growth across North America, with a strong focus on wind turbine–focused SaaS, analytics, and services.
This is a player–coach leadership role—ideal for a senior commercial leader who brings hands-on selling experience in the wind energy industry, while also building, coaching, and scaling a high-performing sales organization. Compensation
$160-$180k base + 30% annual bonus
The Role
The Sales Director owns U.S. sales strategy, pipeline, and execution, leading complex, consultative enterprise sales cycles while ensuring operational excellence across forecasting, processes, and performance management. You will work cross-functionally with Marketing, Product, Engineering, Customer Success, and Operations to align customer needs with commercial strategy.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Leadership & Strategy
Define and execute U.S. sales strategy aligned with growth and product objectives
Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing sales team across key regions
Personally engage in strategic deals as a senior seller and subject-matter expert
Own revenue planning, pipeline health, forecasting, and KPI performance
Revenue Growth & Market Expansion
Drive new customer acquisition and expansion across wind asset owners, operators, and service providers
Lead complex, multi-year enterprise SaaS and services negotiations
Identify new U.S. market opportunities, customer segments, and commercial models
Customer & Partner Engagement
Serve as a senior commercial ambassador with executive-level customers and partners
Build trusted C-suite relationships within the wind energy ecosystem
Partner with Customer Success to support retention, renewals, and upsell
Operational & Cross-Functional Excellence
Collaborate with Product and Engineering to provide structured market feedback
Partner with Marketing on positioning, messaging, and demand generation
Ensure disciplined use of CRM, pricing, contracting, and approval processes
Experience & Background
Senior sales leadership experience within wind energy, wind turbines, or renewable energy technology
Proven success selling enterprise SaaS, analytics, or asset-performance solutions
Strong background in consultative, long-cycle B2B sales
Demonstrated ability to both close deals personally and scale sales teams
Experience with U.S. pricing, forecasting, and complex contract negotiations
Skills & Competencies
