As a Sales and Applications Engineer, you’ll play a pivotal role in driving customer engagement and delivering innovative automation solutions.
What You’ll Do:
Sales and Customer Engagement:
• Actively seek out and engage with potential customers to understand their needs and propose tailored solutions.
• Conduct on-site visits and virtual meetings to present automation concepts and build strong customer relationships.
• Collaborate directly with customers to address technical challenges and position the company’s offerings effectively.
Proposal and Quotation Development:
• Develop and showcase concepts to customers, highlighting the competitive advantages of the proposals you create.
• Create detailed and accurate quotations, working closely with engineering teams to ensure feasibility and cost-effectiveness.
Creative Solutions:
• Work with the latest technologies in automation, such as robotics, AMRs, conveyors, and other systems, by researching and generating conceptual solutions for custom automation systems.
• Drive innovation through your creativity and technical expertise.
Collaboration:
• Work closely with sales, engineering, and management teams to ensure seamless alignment between solutions and customer requirements.
• Participate in cross-functional meetings to align sales efforts with company objectives.
What You’ll Bring:
Educational Background:
• A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering is preferred, but a passion for automation is what counts. Other backgrounds could be considered.
Experience:
• 5+ years of industry experience leading applications and projects in the automation sector.
• Proven experience in quoting, sales, and customer interaction is required.
Skills You’ll Have:
• 3D CAD Proficiency: Whether it’s Inventor or SolidWorks, you’re comfortable navigating CAD software to create mechanical concepts.
• Simulation Expertise: Experience using software such as SolidWorks, Motosim, RoboDK, Roboguide, etc., is a plus.
• Travel: Willingness to visit customer sites for up to 20% of your time.
