    Sales Engineer
    Location: Chicago, IL (Hybrid Office Schedule – 2-3 days in office in Northwest Side of Chicago)
    Position Type: Direct Hire – Permanent

    Openings: 1 opening
    Salary Range: $90-105K MAX
    Bonus: Approx. $24K annual bonus ($6K per quarter)
    Interview/Hire: Looking to interview and hire ASAP!

    Key Skills:

    • Experience with Ethernet protocols (EVP), such as Ethernet Virtual Private Line (EVPL) or Ethernet Virtual Private (EVP-LAN)
    • Familiarity with Internet Protocols like BGP
    • Excellent communication and customer interface skills
    • Strong interpersonal skills and personality

    Preferred/Bonus:

    • MEF Carrier Ethernet Certification Professional (MEF-CECP) certification is a plus
    • Experience with Cisco Meraki

    Essential Job Functions:

    The Sales Engineer will support Sales Account teams in selling Carrier Ethernet (MAN/WAN) and fiber-based solutions. This role involves preparing technical proposals, presentations, network topologies, technical specifications, and assisting in pricing development.
    Key responsibilities include:

    • Attending customer meetings (in person and online)
    • Delivering comprehensive solutions using the company’s systems and infrastructure
    • Acting as a technical liaison from pre-sales to post-sales
    • Representing the company at industry events and conferences
    • Analyzing customer needs and developing strategies for network solutions
    • Staying updated on industry technology trends
    • Participating in account planning and coordinating with cross-market teams
    • Providing technical training to support Sales Account teams
      The role also requires punctual attendance, flexible work hours, and occasional travel within the assigned territory.

    Qualifications:

    • Curious and eager to explore new concepts

    • Positive attitude with a high level of performance under challenges

    • Confident in presenting to peers and management

    • Ability to manage multiple complex projects and drive consensus

    • Analytical skills for solving technical and business issues

    • Proven experience working with Carrier, MNO, and Wholesale accounts
      Desired experience includes:

    • Cable MSO experience

    • Building and executing technical solutions and sales strategies
      Additional qualifications:

    • Strong verbal and written communication skills

    • Knowledge of Layer 1 (Optical, HFC, WDM), Layer 2 & 3 (Switching, STP, VLAN, MPLS, Carrier Ethernet)

    • Wireless experience preferred

    • Industry certifications such as Cisco CCNA, CCNP, Juniper JNCIA/ENT

    • Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Networking, Cloud, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)

    Candidate will have successfully passed a Background Check. Start date is contingent on client
